One night passing by in the street of Rua Nova a Guia, the glamorous shinny newly renovated noodle shop at the doorway attracted my eye sight; that was exactly the re-branded Vah Thai Noodle shop. The nice fragrance simmering on the main road really made me so hungry; at some point cannot bear the hunger anymore; decided to take a seat having a nice bowl of thai noodle, same time visiting the long time missing “non stop talking”, passionate good old folk, Chi Gor.

Operated more than thirty years, Va Thai Noodle established from 1988, have moved to Rua Nova a Guia till now. Its also a well known traditional noodle place, where each local would know them pretty well, especially the “night clubbing hang outs”. Start from childhood to secondary school phase patronised Va Thai from time to time; I believed a lot of people would think of them as soon as midnight snack time begin. In accordane with the prosperous casino industry development, Macau night life continue to increase; In additional to some local stores like Va Thai open from midnight till early morning exists; A lot of casino employees or on shifts would love to order large amounts of take aways; From there, Va Thai have gained lots of long term returning guests; or we called them die hard super fans.

Van Thai own one simple menu with two noodle kind: Assorted Pork or beef offal noodles, along with intense soup base. Their secret soup base pack always soaked in with the boiling pot. If wish to add more condiments can pick bouncy beef and pork or cuttle fish balls; or go with Thai noodles, Rice flour noodles, or plain bean sprouts; along with their signature soup base. For strong flavor preferences must try Van thai noodles; Their speical spicy powder also worthwhile given a try. Their daily fresh deep fried pork skin also eat well by dipping in the soup base; or eating like potato chips also an option. If wish to eat in a more stimulating way might consider too adding vinegar, sugar or fresh chilli garnishing the big bowl.
